Wargaming is bringing World of Warships Legends to Steam, with a closed beta coming this weekend.
World of Warships Legends is the console and mobile version of Wargamng’s franchise. While the original PC version and the console release are similar, there are differences. This version specializes in the fast-paced action you would expect with intuitive controls and easy to learn gameplay.
The beta test will take place from May 23rd through May 26th, and sign ups are open now for the weekend test. The beta will consist of the versus ai, arcade, and standard battle types, and you’ll have access to ship Tech trees, commanders, campaigns, missions, and more. This is a slice of the full version which will launch later. On the steam page you can see that it says the game will be launching in Early Access, in large part to help the team adapt the PC player experience.
In beta, the team is looking for feedback on controls, performance, and anything that does or doesn’t work. Wargaming is planning for Steam Deck support, which makes sense given this game’s origins.
If you’re already playing, the May update adds new content and a 6-week campaign that also introduces the German Legendary Tier battleship Preußen, as well as opportunities to make progress on locking the Legendary Tier cruiser, Hindenburg. There are also a series of events this month, including new Brawl and Fleet Cup seasons.
If you want to sign up for the beta, you can head to Steam now.
