In tomorrow’s update, Once Human will offer an enhanced version of The Way of Winter Scenario, a new limited-time event, Stargate Rush, and open up Early Access period for custom private server rentals.
Last month, the team announced that custom private server rentals would be coming. Tomorrow the Early Access period opens to serve as an invite-only test, ending June 17th, to work out any issues before the formal launch on June 18th. Custom servers will be offered as rentals at-cost “ensuring players can access professional-grade service at a reasonable cost,” when they launch to all.
The Way of Winter Scenario gets a few changes to deepen strategic and survival elements, and tweak the extreme weather system. This is also a test that the team wants feedback on. You’ll be able to share Thermal Towers (which take up less space), and the extreme weather effects will spread across the map. There are also updated endings available.
Stargate Rush is the new limited-time event. Running June 5-19th, team up with V to quickly soar around in the air collecting rings. Rewards include a V skin and Zero Gravity namecard.
The patch also has several important optimizations and fixes to address item losses from the Spacetime Backpack. Now, items won’t automatically be sent there and will be in transit storage so you can manually transfer your items to the backpack later and prevent them from being lost. They’ve also optimized RaidZone and Endless Dream Early Access.
