Throne and Liberty is holding its new Fortune’s Calling event, offering chances to earn in-game rewards through a number of activity options. Over in Korea it seems that the reception for the global release through Amazon Games has sparked newly confirmed development on a mobile version.
When you complete co-op dungeons, field boss fights, dynamic events, and even Amitoi expeditions, you can earn yourself Fortune Stones. There are Fortune Stone milestones for a chance at extra loot, including a Black Anvil weapon. Importantly, everyone that is earning stones is helping each other. There are guaranteed rewards for hitting certain milestones and collective bonuses.
You are working together as a community because as players collectively gather these stones for given rewards everyone who has at least one stone will get guaranteed bonuses, like the Fire Crown. The more players reach certain milestones, the more everyone has a chance at some of the rare loot. “If 1000 players reach the threshold for the Nebula Boss Accessory Selection Chest reward, everyone will have a 5% chance of obtaining it since only up to 50 these Chests can be awarded”, one example states.
The event announcement has full details, and you have until June 11th to complete your activities.
According to a new report, NCSoft’s subsidiary FirstSpark Games, will begin development on a mobile Throne and Liberty, despite a soft reception in Korea. It seems that the studio will move part of the team from the live PC project to work on the mobile version. This comes because the global release through Amazon Games was successful enough that the team reportedly decided to bet on mobile rather than a Chinese release.
