For season 8, New World: Aeternum brings some Expedition bosses center stage as part of the new Expeditions Unleashed world event. The devs share how it will work, what bosses to expect, and of course, rewards.
During the season, three memorable bosses will rotate, so you’ll have a limited time to challenge them. Now through May 26th, face Mahantaram. June 17-23 will feature Godling Khepri Superna, and finally, from July15-21st, there’s Ifrit.
The bosses’ mechanics and attacks are rebalanced and altered to be featured as open-world event bosses, so it won’t be the exact copy of the Expedition version, but you’ll still want to gather some reliable friends to take on the fight, since these are designed for groups.
Take on the world bosses for loot, with one Normal Reward Box and three bonus boxes available per day. The normal boxes contain a guaranteed weapon, armor, or jewelry piece, ether a Gear Score 700 Procedural Weapon or Armor or a Named Legendary GS 710 item, including special boss drops, and potions. The bonus boxes will offer a guaranteed Named Legendary GS 710 item, useful resources, a chance at a piece of the Jaeger skin set, and more.
