Mecha Break Shares Early July Release Date, Story Trailer At Summer Game Fest

The hotly-anticipated multiplayer mecha game Mecha Break unveiled a new story trailer at Summer Game Fest—and its new release date.
Mecha Break proved to be a surprise hit even during its open beta test stage earlier this year, offering exciting player-versus-player and PvPvE extraction combat, even if some players ended up with what were likely bots.

We now know that players will be able to get back into the pilot’s seat in the free-to-play game on July 1.
The Amazing Seasun Games team also premiered a nifty story trailer that shows the world going into ruin thanks to some kinds of earth kaijus/monsters, with giant, cool mechas flown by attractive pilots being the only thing between the creatures and total annihilation. (That’s one mecha genre, by the way, with the other being “political intrigue involving child exploitation.”)
Mecha Break will be free to play on release, though that means its monetization system will likely leave fans waiting for more news, as it’s gone through a few changes since its first tests.
