Embers Adrift has completed the move away from monthly subscriptions to blocks of perk time, following issues with Steam’s payment system. The team announced details of the new options as well as updated the engine and made a few improvements along with the membership change.
For those who were double charged, the team has credited accounts with the equivalent amount of game time where they could not issue refunds. Not all of the double charges were refundable due to an error. “We reached out to Steam immediately for support, but it took nearly two weeks for them to acknowledge the issue and inform us that they are working on what they “believe” is a fix.”

The main reason the game is now on Steam exclusively is because of an issue with their former payment processor so it makes total sense that Stormhaven is taking everything into their own hands in a way they have control over.
