Bandai Namco shared a new character class focused trailer for Elden Ring: Nightreign, this time with the Guardian as the class in question. Armed with a shield and spear, the Guardian looks to have access to a nice amount of both defensive and offensive skills.
You can watch the Elden Ring: Nightreign Guardian trailer below:
As mentioned previously, the Guardian’s kit pulls from both offensive and defensive skills. Armed with a shield, it is capable of blocking a fire-based spell while protecting a downed teammate. The Guardian’s offensive weapon, a spear (or halberd if you want to be technical), can be used in a handful of ways. This ranges from a wide-sweeping whirlwind attack to something comparable to the Dragoon Jump as seen in the Final Fantasy series, when paired with the Guardian’s ability to temporarily make use of its wings — as it is an anthropomorphic eagle.
Previous character classes that Bandai Namco has detailed include the Recluse, which those more inclined to using magic in FromSoft’s Dark Souls series and Elden Ring may find right up their alley.
