In one of the first delays of official game products due to US tariff instability, the official merch store for Yostar, the developer and publisher for Arknights, Azur Lane, and Mahjong Soul, will indefinitely suspend merchandise orders to the United States temporarily, starting next week.
The announcement via its site and social media explicitly states that the suspension is because of the “recent fluctuations in the United States’ import tariff policies,” explaining that while they’ve “explored all possible measures, external policy factors beyond our control leave us unable to maintain service.”
As a Chinese development and publishing studio, Yostar ships directly from China, which has seen the most frequent and aggressive tariff raises in the past week.
However, the letter notes that any orders placed before April 17 at 11:59 p.m. PDT will be shipped as normal. In the meantime, Yostar states that it’ll monitor the current state of US tariff policies until they can resume service as usual.
It’s not the first gaming company to see plans shift due to the tariffs, as Nintendo delayed Switch 2 presales amidst the turmoil, though the console is planned to still ship on its June release date.
