The Tower of Fantasy team previewed version 5.0, “Kailo Sector”, giving us a look into the update, a new map, new boss, an updated face editor, and much more.
The presentation features simulacrum Carrot, introducing Kailo. It doesn’t take long to distinguish the new map and the new places we will see from where we’ve been before. First of all, Kailo has no sun, so it’s always dark. Everything floats. Its beginnings are rooted in a space migration attempted, and failed, that happened before the Cataclysm. The impact of the space-time turbulence left Kailo stranded in deep space for more than 50 years.
Two distinct factions arose – Iris Legion favors return to Aida and another, Hope Fleet, an exploration faction wanting to create their own future. The explorers found Orzero, and its resource, zeronium. These new zones will factor in the update.
There’s a new simulacrum coming, Lyncis, whose weapon is Swish, a frost weapon and skateboard. Her combat is accompanied by a wash of vibrant colors.
There are new enemies, including new boss Queen Xeno and the scythe arachnids she unleashes, space pirates, and the glitchy Vigilant Droid Tom.
We’ll also see new weapons and instances, improved face customization, streamlined tutorials, events, and rewards.
