The Next FFXIV Live Letter About The Upcoming Patch 7.3 Is Coming Late June

It’s going to be time to take a break from grinding out the Occult Crescent in two weeks, as the Final Fantasy 14 team has announced the next Letter from the Producer Live. Also called the “Live Letter,” this live stream usually featuring director-producer Naoki Yoshida and producer Toshio “Foxcon” Murouchi will be about the upcoming Patch 7.3.

According to the official Lodestone post, the Patch 7.3 stream will take place on YouTube, Twitch and NicoNicoDouga on July 20, 2025 at 4:00 a.m. PDT.
As for what to expect, the FFXIV team has established a cadence about what to definitely expect throughout patch cycles. This time, assuming the developers haven’t seen a catastrophe, we’ll be seeing the next part of the Final Fantasy 11-themed Alliance Raids, where 24 players storm through a series of fights.
We also know already from previous discussions about the new multiplayer field operation Occult Crescent that they’ll be unlocking more jobs and regions with each upcoming Dawntrail patch. A lot of people have been on that grind since day one, so this’ll provide a lot more to work with for a few months, though based on this patch’s release schedule, chances are we’ll be seeing updates at 7.35 (but we can hope for sooner). Plus, progression for the “relic weapon,” this time called the Phantom Weapon, will likely unlock.
Also likely to release with this FFXIV update is the next Hildibrand questline, featuring Detective Hardboiled—and we can keep hoping for the Beastmaster limited job announced with the expansion. Hoping, and even praying, as a lot of players have expressed about Beastmaster.
