Some Guild Wars 2 Voiceovers Delayed Because of Ongoing SAG-AFTRA Strike

Specific characters in Guild Wars 2 will have missing voiceovers in the June 3, 2025 update patch. Social Media Coordinator for Guild Wars 2, Rubi Bayer, shared this information through the official forums. That said, certain voice acting that was missing from previous update patches will be added in for the female Sylvari and Queen Jennah.

Characters that will have absent voice over work include the following:

Charr female player character
Countess Anise
Livia
Ludo
Ellen Kiel
Dessa
Ura

This is due to the on-going SAG-AFTRA voice actor strike. Bayer states that Arenanet will provide more updates on the situation as it continues. While the female Sylvari and voice acting for Queen Jennah were absent in previous patches, so voice acting for the list of characters would appear at a future date.
The SAG-AFTRA voice actor strike has continued for well over a year, with a major concern from voice actors involve their performances being used (or replaced) by AI.
