Remedy Entertainment Announces Session-Based Co-op FPS, Firebreak, a Spin-Off of Control

Remedy Entertainment has announced a new co-op FPS, FBC: Firebreak, and it’s set to launch this summer. 

The game, formerly known as Project Condor, is  a spin-off of Control. Fireebreak is designed for session based PVE, you’re a Firebreak agent working for the Federal Bureau of Control. A first responder to cases that require you to contain escalating paranatural threats inside The Oldest House. Firebreak Is the reliable team that has skills to restore order when these mysterious situations arise.

There are a number of replayable jobs that you can take on and learn how to adapt, strategize, and work with your team for the best results. In the new trailer, we see one of the jobs that you’ll be able to take on, Paper Chase. There’s an outbreak of sticky notes–seemingly harmless, right? Not here. That eventually becomes a paranatural crisis and you face a manifestation of the threat. Work with your teammates to contain the threat in three zones of escalating difficulty and additional challenges.

Remedy plans to release the game as a mid-priced release and will self-publish one of its games for the first time. Firebreak will launch on PC va Steam and Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. 
The release strategy looks to get Firebreak out to as many people as possible. Remedy confirmed the game will release on PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, for Extra and Premium members on day one.
