Continuing the reveals of changes coming to the 0.2.1 patch, the Path of Exile 2 team has unveiled a few new socketable gems that’ll be available to pick up and throw into your items—if you’re stubborn enough to find them, as with all good things.
The Grinding Gear Games team explains in the official post that, yes, these are actually more powerful than other ones before, as they intend on raising the ceiling for power on these as “valuable chase drops.”
These gems to pursue are as follows:
Hedgewitch Assandra’s Rune of Wisdom — Wand or Staff: +1 to Level of all Spell Skills
Farrul’s Rune of the Chase — Boots: 5% increased Movement Speed
The Greatwolf’s Rune of Willpower — Body Armors: 10% of Damage is taken from Mana before Life
Tacati’s Soul Core of Affliction — Helmets: Enemies you Curse have -8% to Chaos Resistance
Talisman of Truldana — Martial Weapon: 25% reduced Poison Duration; Targets can be affected by +1 of your Poisons at the same time
The new listed Tacati’s Soul Cores of Affliction will be found in the Ultimatum encounters in the Trial of Chaos as a little endgame treat. The Talismans of Thruldana, meanwhile, will be from Azmerian Spirit-possessed enemies, which are found throughout both the campaign and endgame.
The team promised a look at some new Unique items later this week, as they’ve been generous about pre-update reveals.
