Once Human Will Soon Let You Rent Your Own Official Custom Community Servers

One of the biggest survival game requests is coming to Once Human, but you’ll need to pay—literally. Starry Sky has announced that they’re launching rented custom servers in June that’ll let players customize the game however they see fit.
Officially fully launching June 19, these official rental Custom Servers will let players build their own scenarios utilizing dedicated Starry Studio and NetEase servers. As the team explains, these servers run such heavy loads in processing data, often for too few players, that they believe official server rentals are the best option for community servers.

These official community servers will come with the usual custom server bells and whistles, with customization of various in-game server settings and privileges. They also promise that lag and speed will be reduced through this system, as well as official “secure and stable support” in case any issues come up. They also say they’ll be trying to bring costs down over time, if and when possible.
If you want to give it a whirl ahead of time, there’ll be a limited-invite trial period for these servers starting on June 5th and going just before the June 19 update, during which players will have temporary pricing that’ll be repaid as the premium Crystgin currency. Only standard servers will be available, with no extensions, and there won’t be any paid content features and asset sharing at the time.
They don’t have too much of the nitty-gritty of what players can customize in the official announcement blog, but we do know that they’re kicking off with Manibus, The Way of Winter, and Once Human: RaidZone, the last of which is the brand-new “hardcore” PvP that just went into early access last week. While this leaves out one of the major scenarios, that last one at least means that you and your friends (or enemies) can have a crazy time chasing each other.
