Last Epoch Season 2: Tombs of the Erased gets another preview from the Eleventh Hour Games team, this time focused on the quality of life changes coming in the update –from expanded inventory options, improved Eternity Cache, and the much-requested ability to respec your class Mastery.
Yes, you can respec class Mastery for gold, resetting all of your passive points so you can rebuild your character without completely starting from scratch. This feature has been long awaited and it will help for those who feel like they made some mistakes along the way but still really love their characters.
Crafting gets improvements and expanded, with the Eternity Cache getting changes to ease getting the gear and affixes you want. There’s also auto-sorting crafting materials that should ease inventory pressure and keep everything more organized. There are more types of inventory tabs and more items that you can store automatically like keys.
There are a series of changes for dungeons, with one of the most important being that you can use dungeon keys to respawn in the dungeon area where you died. You can also use them to respawn outside the boss area if you died while trying to beat the boss. This will be great for farming drops and ease the frustration. Of course, if you are a Hardcore player, you just die. Season 2 will also add some short quests to reward passive points and unlock an idle slot for defeating a dungeon boss.
Other changes include improved controller targeting, and the Death Vacuum if you die in the Monolith of Fate. Loot around you will go into the hub with you. Shared Monolith unlocks will be great for those who have lots of alts because if your characters share the same stash, one unlocking a normal monolith means it’s unlocked for all.
This is the final preview before the update drops on April 17th.
