Guild Wars 2 Previews June 24th Balance Patch – Functionality Reworks, New Build Options, and Expanded Dark Aura

Guild Wars 2 has set the next big balance patch for June 24th and have released details of their proposals for community feedback. ANet is looking to adjust some underused skills and traits, as well as a number of functionality reworks. Dark aura is also being expanded.

After this patch, blasting a dark field will grant dark aura, replacing energy blindness. Thieves and revenants also get dark aura trait triggers. Thieves make use of it in the Shadow Arts specialization line, and new synergies aim to expand support options outside of mere stealthing. Revenants will get dark aura hooks in the Corruption spec, which will work well with Embrace the Darkness.
Elementalists get two of those functionality reworks–to Arcane Power and Glyph of Elemental Power–in an effort to broaden their use potential. Engineer has a few changes to shore up core utility skills. Some changes increase variety in competitive modes. Some kits get new options. Guardian changes focus on increased consistency and a stronger identity, and shifting role, for focus.
Several builds  are getting quality of life changes and refined specializations. Necromancer  is getting some of these QoL changes, including a rework to Transfusion. With the changes, they’re looking to give staff a new role as a support weapon, since it was underperforming outside of PVP.
There are more details in the patch proposal that you can check out and give the developers feedback.
