Absolution, the finale to Guild Wars 2’s Janthir Wilds expansion, is coming on June 3rd, And in addition to new story, brand new maps, a meta event, and more there are plenty of quality of life improvements and updates on the way. ANet detailed what’s coming.
Many MMORPG players are pack rats and we know it. inventory is at a premium and the team is giving us a few options to help. First up is the Wizard’s Portal Tome, which will store teleportation devices and drop up to 30 items into one inventory slot. They’re similar to the Living World season portal tomes. There’s a side story achievement that grants one as a reward.
Also helping inventory space is The Wizard’s Gobbler, letting you organize multiple exchange items in one slot.
Rift essences will be convertible into a wallet currency when the update drops. You’ll be able to convert your essence into currency for free and all associated rewards and recipes will be updated to reflect this.
Peer Reviewed Research is a new crafting recipe that will make acquiring research notes faster. Craft it and you’ll get $150 of them.
Absolution will also double the decoration cap for homesteads to 2000. You can increase the cap by 500 via decoration limit increase services. There will also be new home instance nodes available.
