If you’re raring to try the fresh Elden Ring Nightreign but can’t get the crew to join you, it seems From Software has you covered. New posts on the official Elden Ring socials explain that via a patch next week, there’ll be improvements for those who take up the challenge solo.
The first major change will be an effect added to solo expeditions. It’s called “Automatic Revival Upon Defeat,” which is exactly what it sounds like—players will get one extra automatic revival per night boss battle. In short, you don’t have to wait for the friends you don’t have to get you up to keep going.
The following improvements for solo expeditions will be added to the game:- The effect “Automatic Revival Upon Defeat”, which allows revival once per night boss battle, will be added to solo expeditions.- The amount of runes gained will be increased.Thank you for your support.

There’ll be a bump in runes gained during these missions, too, likely as a reward because you’re crazy enough to do this solo. It seems this patch, slated for next week, will also bring some bug fixes, though those aren’t outlined yet.
Nightreign launched today to decent acclaim from our own team—plus a day one patch and an Evanescence trailer…?
