Black Desert Online Fishers See Ranking Schedules Change; Other Life Skill Changes Inbound

This week’s Black Desert Online update includes a ton of notable Life Skill Changes, including a change in the Weekly Fishing Contest timing.
One of the bigger changes will be a shift in Fishing ranking times. Pearl Abyss has pushed the Weekly Fishing Contest back a day to take place Monday through Saturday. While it seems counter-intuitive to end things on Saturday, it seems fishers don’t get to check their ranks as things are, so the Sunday without the contest gives that space.

There are also a ton of quality-of-life changes for BDO’s Life Skills, including Fishing. There’s now a function that throws out fish below a certain grade, regardless of Fishing level; Hunting movement has been improved, and horses follow players more quickly during Training. The Bonus quests for Cooking, Alchemy, Training and Hunting have also been revamped, allowing players to take them up as many times as they want and letting players receive them at set probabilities.
Meanwhile, for the less peaceful types, Conquest War has a major change that removes the extra defense time after a gate’s destroyed, and gate durability has been bumped up.
Plus, Black Desert is seeing quite a few minor, but still notable, changes as listed in the official full patch notes for this week’s update. According to the last Dev Update, it seems like they’re really set on making sure these Life Skill updates go well on top of everything else they’re working on.
