After Feedback, Mortal Online 2 Announces List of Changes to Territory Control Update

Star Vault is adjusting some of  Mortal Online 2’s upcoming changes, following feedback after Territory Control update details were recently announced.

As originally announced, Myrland would become 31 distinct regions. Most liked this, but some thought there was room to break things up a little more (and have more opportunities to lay claims). The devs confirmed they will be splitting up a couple of the larger regions, so We don’t know the final number yet but it will be more than 31.
Outposts also got a ton of feedback, most positive, but some had concerns over potential for imbalance, whether through Elementalism and boosting over the walls or the possibility of overwhelming the inner areas with AoE spells. The team was already keeping this in mind and there are one-way collision blockers on each wall (for players, not projectiles or spells) so you’re not launching yourself over them. However, they will take a look at various adjustments to pull back the potential impact of AoE spells, even if it’s something small like pulling back the spell’s effect area to its visuals.
Several feedback categories got nearly 50-50 splits: oil pots, whether they should have to be made manually or could be automated, and whether King of the Hill flag contest should be able to be stopped with just one opposing player or require more. Smaller guilds prefer the just one approach and that seems to be where they are leaning.
When it comes to Outposts, Star Vault is also being careful about potential for abuse, so regions will grant their bonuses only within their boundaries. Outposts will get a few changes meant to thwart guilds from starting alt guilds or otherwise trying to lock other guilds out from contesting.
The list of changes is extensive, and they also include a look at possible future key benefits as well as other possibilities to keep things fairer, to curb griefing, as well as to not let smaller guilds get completely lost in the balance.
