Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, Bokura’s rebranding of Bandai Namco’s canceled MMORPG, is getting a global release.
Originally spotted as Star Resonance last year, Tencent’s spinoff still set in the world of Regnas, but with some differences. Since then, they’ve adopted the Blue Protocol name to show where this game comes from, while still distinguishing it from that original. If you were waiting for Blue Protocol, here’s a new chance at capturing what was promised in the original, while also offering stuff that’s reworked or entirety new.
Now, there are pages for the game on Steam and the Epic Games Store where you can learn more and add it to your wishlist.
From the official description there:
“Blue Protocol: Star Resonance expands the Blue Protocol universe with a vibrant MMORPG experience. Create your own hero, team up for strategic raids, or simply relax and have fun with friends fishing, crafting, and endless exploration. Adventure awaits!”
There are also details on the games features, including an emphasis on open world exploration in the land of Magna, the flexible combat system that lets you learn abilities and also swap styles when you need to, and MMO features like raids, dungeons, boss fights, guilds, and of course, rewards.
The launch window says “2025”. You can pre-register and sign up, as well as find out more over at the official site.
