Path of Exile 2 Announces New Race Events Starting This Weekend

Path of Exile 2  is off to the races agan. After time spent addressing some issues and feedback after Dawn of the Hunt, Grinding Gear Games is  bringing back competitive racing challenges.

Entrants compete to see just who gets bragging rights for killing Doryani first in Act 3. This will be standard Solo Self-Found, so you’ll have to be well prepared. This is not a hardcore event, but  if you die, there will be a one minute penalty where you can’t move, so  probably don’t die if you want a chance at the spoils.
The purpose of it all is to have a little fun, compete with others, and see if you can prove yourself the fastest competitor. There are three races scheduled–May 25th,  June 1st, and June 8th all at 4:00 p.m. Eastern, 1:00 p.m. Pacific–and the race will begin for everyone at the same time.
Of course it will be live streamed on Twitch, and there will be a Demigod’s Virtue Unique item for the top placement for each class, including the most recent, Huntress. You can enter one, two, or even all three races to give it a go. If you are good enough,  and maybe have a little luck, you can even win more than one prize. There are also special game pads up for grabs.
See full details, rules, and what’s ahead in future events in the announcement.
