NetEase’s new real-time isometric action RPG for mobile platforms, Marvel Mystic Mayhem, has received a release date in late June 2025.
Mystic Mayhem was unveiled in October and has gone through both an alpha and beta test prior to this launch. In it, a villain named Nightmare opens up the Dreamscape, a gently-explored yet literally massive aspect of the Marvel Universe, to consume the waking world, which forces a slew of Marvel’s mightiest heroes to respond.
According to gameplay footage, Mystic Mayhem takes the form of essentially a real-time tactical action RPG. Players recruit three characters at a time for each battle; then, they’re thrown into medium-paced real-time action with something of an isometric and can tap into their characters’ abilities to take down enemies. So far, between tests and social media, the game has shown off the Hulk, Scarlet Witch, Moon Knight, Misty Knight, Sleepwalker, Spider-Man and many more.
Mystic Mayhem releases for Android and iOS on June 25, 2025, and pre-registration is open both on the App Store and Google Play Store.
The game is the latest in NetEase’s slew of international titles that are bringing it recent financial success at home and abroad, which include Marvel Rivals, publishing Starry Studio’s Once Human and the upcoming mobile game Destiny: Rising.
