Janthir Wilds Concludes in ‘Absolution’, Coming to Guild Wars 2 Next Week

The current conflict with the Janthir titans will reach its finale, as Guild Wars 2’s Janthir Wilds’ final update, Absolution, launches on June 3rd.

The update will conclude the storyline with new quests, a new map, Bava Nisos, and a new map-wide meta event. The update promises to take us into mursaat history and to discover truths about the rift and dangers to Tyria that have arisen.
A path to what remains of Bava Nisos, twisted under centuries of magic, opens at the beginning of Absolution, since your teams have concluded that something dangerous is definitely waiting there. And that map wide meta event, it promises to be something different. Work with other members of the Tyrian Alliance to get to the Mists gate, the source of the titan invasion. There are three lanes, each full of obstacles and threats as you all fight and push forward together. ANet is sure going for climatic here.

That’s not all. Kinfall is a new fractal dungeon, where you are some lowland Kodan experiencing the historical Icebrood invasion of Tyria. This includes the whispers of the elder dragon Jormag, which led to the migration to Janthir Wilds. The team notes that this particular fractal is more streamlined and repeatable than prior ones to make them more playable and less raid-like. Challenge Mode will release in the June 24th update.
Other new challenges include Ura, the final Convergences boss encounter on Mount Balrior. As with previous bosses, there are new mechanics to offer a twist on the battle. Challenge Mode for  Mount Balrior Convergences are also coming in the update.
The update announcement also includes details on Homestead improvements including a raised decoration cap, new crafting tier, and even a way to customize your homestead’s sky.
