Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen has a roadmap update, including the Smoldering Trench & Ashbreather Enclave update next week. Pantheon is also featured in a new Unity spotlight on some of the tech behind creating the MMO.
Smoldering Trench & Ashbreather Enclave will be released on June 11th. The update, wth content aimed at 35-45, will add two large playable areas in Silent Plains, featuring both indoor and outdoor areas. Expect new quests, new gear, items, including rare and epic items, and about a dozen named epic encounters. There will be new perception triggers and storylines and some quests will be linked to those triggers. There will be a main boss but this boss will unlock later in the phase, along with Ashbreather crafting items.
The new roadmap update includes the final Ashbreather’s boss as in development, more quests and perception triggers for Trench & Enclave, in addition to more in development for other areas. Also coming are level 30 gathering and crafting, and ongoing updates to class abilities, combat mechanics, improvements, and much more.
The Unity blog featured a Q&A with Visionary Realms on the tech that enables the team to bring Pantheon to life. They dive into questions like how Pantheon stands out compared to other MMOs, the tech behind player experience on multiple worlds, asset loading, and more. It’s very techy, as you might expect, and it also dives into how the team moved to using Unity 6 and some of the differences over the development.
