Become a Ghoul in Fallout 76 Season 20: Glow of the Ghoul, Now Live

Fallout 76’s new season, Season 20: Glow of the Ghoul kicks off today, along with the major Ghoul Within update. Not only can a character become a Ghoul for the first time, but the update adds some appropriately themed furniture pieces to prepare your C.A.M.P for your new…life.

Now that the update has gone live, if you are level 50, there’s a quest to unlock that will let you turn your character into a Ghoul. If you decide to complete it, prepare to experience Appalachia differently. Starting with how others interact with you.  NPCs and factions will change how they react to a ghoul, which could spice things up for your gameplay if you felt things were getting a bit stale in the Wastelands. If you need to interact with NPCs or factions in a specific way you can always disguise yourself.

You will also find yourself immune to radiation damage and you can use it to heal and unlock brand new abilities. The update also adds 30 Perk cards for Ghouls, and your new challenge will be to make sure to keep an eye on your Feral Meter. This replaces the usual hunger and thirst meter, and if you want to keep control, then you keep an eye on the new metric to avoid going feral.
Themed rewards for the season also arrive with the update. Among them are The Unfortunate End,  a decorative nuclear waste tank, a Mini Nuke Stein, and the Goo-Tub, where you and some ghoul friends can take a relaxing dip in the warm glow of the radiation.
If you find that running around as a ghoul isn’t really to your liking, you can revert your character back to a human for free once. If you ever want to become a Ghoul again on the same character you will have to purchase a token to do so.
There’s more info on Season 20,  along with all of the items and everything you need to get started, along with a roadmap showing the events for the spring.
