After announcing RuneScape: Dragonwilds, the upcoming open-world co-op survival game set in the RuneScape universe, Jagex is now sharing a peek at gameplay and an introduction to the setting of Ashenfall.
It’s a survival game, so you will have to explore this world, figure out where the good resources are and what’s useful, learn what you need to craft to survive in this world and to thrive in it. Oh, and the dragons have awoken. The gameplay teaser is short, but it gives a peek at how things will work. Here, there’s Anima-based magic, and you use it to do things like cut down trees and secure resources as well as prepare to battle, yes, dragons and more. It is called Dragonwilds, after all.
The new trailer showing off the world is just a teaser at under two minutes, but it does give us a sense of what we can expect when the game hits Early Access sometime later this spring. We see a series of biomes and environments and it looks like the open world will be somewhere you want to get lost in while still keeping track of what is of interest in the area.
Now that RuneScape: Dragonwilds has been officially announced, we expect to be hearing lots more soon.
