Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, BitCraft announced it was going crypto (as an April Fool’s joke), City of Titans discusses Q1 development progress, and Villagers & Heroes releases The Crux Part 2. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.
BitCraft
After an April Fool’s announcement on Tuesday about BitCraft transitioning to a crypto MMO, the team held a livestream on Twitch to discuss the MMO’s real monetization model. Steam Early Access will be $30, while the full launch will be free to play. There will also be Hexite Shards, a premium currency, that can be used on cosmetic items for your empire.

A new month means new Pillars of Cummunity. This month, @Zalla and @Jezu had their term as Pillars continued.
City of Titans
We don’t hear from City of Titans often, but the Q1 Developer’s Update was posted this week. The bulk of Q1 was spent moving the MMO to Unreal 5.5. The blog post goes into more detail about what that update will bring, including improved AI logic, landscape improvements, and much more.
Corepunk
The Prison Island and Defender Hero release scheduled for Friday was postponed for one day. As of writing this article (Saturday morning), no word had been given on whether the delay would be extended or if the update rolled out as expected.

Update 0.3.0 is now live for Screeps Arena. The update adds Season Finals, where the top 16 players will battle for the number one spot in a playoff bracket.
Villagers & Heroes
The Crux Part 2 is now live. The update includes new quests, challenges, and new areas.
