EverQuest II Has Launched a Beta For Its Kingdom of Sky Origins Server Drop

The next expansion in EverQuest II’s “classic”-style Anashti Sul Origins server is Kingdom of Sky, and those who want to give it a whirl are able to right now.

In the expansion, the ways between Norrath and the Overrealm have opened—but this also means dragons aim to make their mark in the Shattered Lands. There’ll be a level cap raise to 70, three overland zones, two contested dungeons, and more to explore and tackle.
If you have EQ2 and want to get in on the action, you can access the Kingdom of Sky beta through your LaunchPad. Just find the “Select Game Version” panel, patch in the Beta, and launch. Players can copy their regular characters into the beta if so desired, though progress won’t flip back onto the live servers. More details are up on the blog.
Darkpaw has more in store for other more experimental types, as the Fangbreaker Progression Server recently launched for the original EverQuest, letting players progress through the game at a refreshed rate together.
