Life is Feudal: Arden hits the Epic Games Store today, with a big update, extending availability to a new platform for the survival MMORPG’s open beta.
This is a reimagined version of the original Life is Feudal MMORPG, this time with community input, a new map, and a free-to-play monetization model. Developer Long Tale Games opened the beta on its own platform, then expanded it to Steam, and now Epic Games Store.
There are new features including a new character progression system with seamless build switching, PvP arenas, and more. They’ve updated crafting with more simplified mechanics to allow for an easier on-ramp but later, continued challenge. While the team wants to make it easier to get started in crafting and to make sure everyone can create the essentials, trade gets New mechanics that up the risk but potentially could still be quite rewarding. no more instant item transfers, if you are a merchant you must deliver the goods to your trading posts and make sure you keep an eye out for bandits.
The addition of group PvP Arenas offer team-based challenges, and for Guild warfare, Regional judgment hours mean that combat times our location based so guilds can focus on regions and making sure everyone in the area is ready to go. Knool-Controlled territories offer PvPvE content where you can take on hostile NPC factions that are guarding very valuable resources.
As a feudal survival MMORPG after all, you’ll have to build and survive and guard your structures from those who might want to take them, sack them, or even level them. There are several new structures to discover as well.
