For those eagerly awaiting Dune: Awakening’s head start launch, the team has given you one more way to get ahead by sharing the full list of “world” servers available for the survival MMO’s launch.
Dune: Awakening’s head-start server opening is tomorrow, June 5, at 7:00 a.m. PDT, but pre-loading started earlier today. This may be preaching to the choir, but this means that if you’ve pre-ordered the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions, which are $69.99 and $89.99 respectively, you get a five-day head start on building on Arrakis, and can have the game in your thinking computer today.
For scheming and coordination purposes, the team has also released the list of servers, known as “worlds,” including how many per region. The numbers are as follows:
US Central — 8: Chains of Karak, Edgeway, Garrick, Limbo, Riftrun, Solitary, The Salusan Bull, Vowbreaker
US West — 15: Aramanli, Broken Stone, Cetus, Dayside, Farhold, Frostholm, House of Ilm, Junction, Nova, Phobos, Relicon, Sandtide, Tartarus, The Jumble, Wrath
US East — 17: Acheron, Auriga, Canis Major, Foranis Triad, Greed, Harmony, Indara, Kirana III, Lernaeus, Mask Prime, Narbog, Pyxis, Scorpius, Splinter, The Spiral, Vela, Watchway
Europe — 35: Archidamas III, Bahamonde, Deneb, Buzzell, Canopus, Centaurus, Corona Borealis, Daedros, Eluzai, Galacia, Grumman, Icarus, Khala, Limos, Pax, Puppis, Rhea, Selene, Solaria Alpha Corvus, Cassiopeia, Daxos, Epsilon Eridani, Fides, Hagal, Indra, Jongleur, Korona, Lampadas, Mycenae, Oxylon, Quirinus, Saturnia, Tucana, Xenophon
Asia — 5: Al Dhanab, Corrin, Ishia, Nyx, Sparta
Oceania — 5: Aerarium IV, Canes Venatici, Elara, Libra, Palma
South America — 2: Balut, Sharrukin
The full list of server names can be found on the news post, if you’re looking to coordinate better with your friends once the game is out. It’s also worth noting that server locations were previously outlined in North America as Los Angeles, Dallas, and Washington, respectively, though Washington could be misconstrued as the western state and not the capitol on the east coast.
As Funcom has reviewed in the past, each primary “world” within these data regions will also contain 20 “Sietches,” or “servers” containing a unique Hagga Basin. The Hagga Basins act as the main shared PvE environment, also holding the estates players can build on. However, the above servers will share a collective “meshed” Deep Desert mega-map for the core endgame PvP gameplay—an area so massive, players barely scraped the surface during the beta.
If you worry that these don’t feel like enough servers for you and your squad, Funcom announced this week that rentable private servers will launch with Dune: Awakening’s head start period for private Hagga Basins.
[EDIT: A previous verison stated the incorrect number of ‘worlds’ for Europe. The number has been updated.]
