Pax Dei Outlines Major Changes And Details From Its Verse 3 Q&A, And It’s A Lot

As it continues it Early Access stage, Pax Dei is ready for an update that’s so big, it’ll require a full-on server wipe. In advance of this update, called “Path of the Adventurer,” the team has been prepping players through a series of update posts, this time with a Q&A and a resulting list of what players should know.

To call this latest update built from the previously-announced Q&A a “laundry list” isn’t an exaggeration—it’s literally a list that overviews the bulk of the changes, or not-changes in some cases, that players should know for the update. Everyone has different priorities in Pax Dei, but here’s a small picking of standout things to know:

“Relics return: For non-unique relics, you will get back exactly what was used in the original item.”
“Gear materials: Gear will be broken down into raw resources during the wipe. This includes items that will be removed with Verse 3.”
In the new Armor quality system, there’ll be Common, Uncommon, and Rare tiers.
All Physical resistance stats are merged into one.
“Item Power system: Item Power affects all stats and scales with item tier (+100 per tier), quality (+100 per quality level), and relevant skill (+100).”
Not all armor builds will work for solo play.
“New spell types: Divine Orb is a new healing projectile that requires manual aiming.”
Some new forts and ruins planned, but that’s it for PvE content updates for this phase.
“Small ruins and caves now explicitly support solo/duo play.”
Some terrain changes and additions, including ponds, more Home Valleys, and slightly softened mountains.

This is only a fraction of what the team mentioned in the Q&A. There weren’t too many details on most of what the team talked about, but there sure were a lot of things talked about, and we recommend perusing the full official news post and list if there’s anything you’re curious about.
