After weeks of Star Wars in-game fun, including a battle pass, Fortnite is wrapping up the galactic activities with a live gameplay narrative event tomorrow, June 7.
“Mobilize and take the fight to Emperor Palpatine in a live, in-game narrative event on June 7,” the main blog from Epic Games reads. “Never tell me the odds!”
The event, called “Death Star Sabotage,” will be some sort of in-game combat opportunity happening across all servers. The trailer for the event shows the players hanging out, possibly even captured, under Imperial forces, followed by some gameplay with a ship shooting enemies, so there really could be a combat narrative here.
We don’t have any details on exactly how to join in, but they usually make it a pretty obvious opt-in experience—and everyone on a server tends to opt in, so it’s usually quite easy to follow along. Assumedly, you’ll just find it if you’re in-game looking towards the stars at 11:00 a.m. PDT.
There’s also a new trailer, thanks to Summer Games Fest.
